Manfredi, where Piedmont is home

Manfredi has chosen to celebrate the finest denominations of Piedmont by enhancing their distinct features: good, simple and genuine wines.

The wine region

The numerous grape varieties, the extremely fluctuating microclimates, the diverse types of soils and landscapes: the wine region of Piedmont is a mosaic of hills with astonishing riches, biodiversity and traditions.

Manfredi wines are born among the hills of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato, whose vocation and scenic beauty have been recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

The Langhe territory extends on the right bank of the Tanaro River and reaches all the way to the Apennines. These are hills that emerged from ancient seabeds, rich in marl and limestone, and whose soils give rise to wines of extreme elegance, great structure, and excellent longevity. The most famous areas are those around the city of Alba, where true masterpieces are born: Barolo, Barbaresco, Nebbiolo, Moscato and Dogliani, icons of our production and wines vinified by our family since the very beginning.

The Roero region lies on the left bank of the Tanaro River and is geologically younger, with hills characterized by considerably sandier soils. This is the land of fragrant and structured white and red wines, such as Barbera.

Monferrato is the largest hilly territory in Piedmont, located between the provinces of Asti and Alessandria. The area is a sea of hills crossed by spectacular forests, rivers, cultivated fields and villages suspended in time. The soils, made up of Asti Sands, yield Barbera d’Asti, which thrive in the sunniest locations. But Monferrato is also famous for its white wines, like the radiant Gavi, born at the foot of the Ligurian Apennines.
