Manfredi Cantine
About

The story of Manfredi includes the adventure of the Langhe: the gentle strength and the determination of a territory that, from being a poor and peripheral place, has proven to be one of the most important wine regions in the world, a certified UNESCO World Heritage site.

Manfredi Cantine
History

For Manfredi, wine has been a family matter for over a hundred years.

It all started in 1918 when great-great-grandfather Nicolao, from the rugged hills of Alta Langa, and his son Luigi began making wine in Farigliano. But it was Giuseppe, Luigi’s son, who truly defined the Manfredi legacy. Despite the challenges of the time, he continued delivering wine even through World War II. Since then, our bottles have never stopped traveling, bringing the taste of the finest denominations in Piedmont to tables all around the world.

At the top of Bricco Rosso, we have built a house for our wine: a place exuding ancient and contemporary charm, surrounded by approximately 15 hectares of vineyards. This is where we welcome our guests with a smile and a bottle of wine that is always ready to be shared.

Today, Manfredi is synonymous with solid production and reliably high-quality wine. A family-owned company that is deeply rooted in its territory and continues to nurture the passion for authentic and elegant wine: a luxury available to all and a love letter to the hills of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Nicolao Manfredi

Nicolao was from Marsaglia, a small village nestled among the rugged hills of Alta Langa. He later moved to Farigliano, where Luigi was born. The latter then dedicated himself to wine production.

1940
Giuseppe Manfredi

Luigi passionately produced wine, but it was his son Giuseppe who became the person of reference for local taverns and restaurants. A tireless worker, nothing could stop Giuseppe, not even the war: he delivered wine with his cart, braving his way through German roadblocks during World War II.

1965
Aldo Manfredi

Giuseppe’s son, Aldo, joined his father in the business. He showed remarkable perseverance and commitment, helping his father in the cellar and with deliveries to Piedmont, Liguria, Lombardy and the Aosta Valley. This helped build work and friendly relations that continue up to this day.

1980
New markets

Along with his wife Gianfranca and skillful associates, Aldo brought the most important breakthrough to the company: Manfredi opened to foreign markets. The wines conquered the HoReCa industry and Italian Large-Scale Retail, and the company also rose to become an icon of Piedmontese winemaking tradition in the world: the family-owned company proved capable of producing authentic wines that are accessible to everyone.

2000
Luisa e Paola

With the beginning of the new millennium, Luisa and Paola - Aldo and Gianfranca’s daughters - joined the company as fourth generation of the Manfredi family joined the company. During these years, wine has undergone changes, becoming more fast-paced, technological and globalized. But the trust earned by Manfredi over more than a century of ensuring consistent quality has remained intact.
